Our journey began back in 2007 as the first in our community to explore the potential of freeze drying. We spent those early years at Michigan farmer’s markets, introducing neighbors to then-unheard-of treats like crispy fruit chips and melt-in-your-mouth ice cream scoops. Though our professional lives took us in different directions, our passion for the science and the dream of building a family legacy remained.

We believe great flavor should never be out of reach. Inspired by our late 'Pops' and his love for saltwater taffy, we set out to eliminate the stickiness for good. In 2021, we formed Popside Candy to turn that vision into a reality. By mastering a signature, airy texture, we’ve honored his favorite nostalgic tastes while creating a revolutionary new crunch. It’s the candy you remember, reimagined for a new generation.

By keeping our production entirely in-house, we are able to personally champion the science behind the crunch. We don’t cut corners, and we never outsource our standards because we believe our customers deserve the very best.
